PRIIPs (Packaged Retail Investment and Insurance Products) is an European regulation that gives consumers more protection and allows for like-to-like comparison of retail investment products, making them more transparent.
In the light of the new regulation, insurance, asset management, as well as investment banking companies will be required to provide investors with a PRIIPs Key Information Document (KID) prior to investment.
To help you get ready for 31 December 2016, Donnelley Financial Solutions was the first company to create the translations of the PRIIPS templates as well as PRIIPs glossary with approved terminology based on the latest updates of the EU Financial regulation for PRIIPs.
The KID is a three-page document that needs to be prepared in line with specific requirements regarding the content and layout, and translated into the language of every country where investors reside.
The KID will need to be made available to investors by 31 December 2016.
The PRIIPs KID will affect packaged retail investment and insurance-based investment products and be required where the investor is a retail investor.
As a trusted service provider to banking, asset management and insurance companies, Donnelley Financial Solutions has an outstanding track record in helping clients to meet the most demanding regulatory requirements.
